Dear rider

During the Easter holiday we will be holding a number of extra events, these are as follows :

SATURDAY 9^TH APRIL “MINIMUS JUMPING” 3—5p.m £7.00 per round LIVERIES £6.00

This is a good opportunity to practice jumping a full course of jumps. This event is open to anyone from lead rein to advanced riders. Riders will be grouped according to ability. No combination of pony and rider will be allowed more than two attempts, each successful rider will be rewarded with a clear round rosette and one point towards the end of year trophies.

SUNDAY 17^TH APRIL “TEA/BBQ RIDE” 3p.m £22.00 LIVERIES £15.00

This is a quieter out ride for riders of D badge standard and above, and then back for tea/bbq. Please mark your form with a “V” if you are vegetarian.

TUESDAY 19^TH APRIL “OWN A PONY DAY” 9-30a.m—4p.m £38.00 LIVERIES £32.00

This is an ideal opportunity to own a pony for a day and learn some aspects of pony care, this will include two hours riding and various stable management instruction, quizzes etc. This activity is not suitable for lead rein riders. Parents are requested not to stay.

WEDNESDAY 20^TH APRIL “OWN A PONY DAY” 8yrs & under 10.00a.m—4p.m £38.00 LIVERIES £32.00

As above with a limit of twelve children.

THURSDAY 21^ST APRIL “D BADGE TEST” 11-30a.m £20.00

THURSDAY 21^ST APRIL “H BADGE TEST” 2-00p.m £21.00

Please ask if you are ready to take the above tests before entering.

FRIDAY 22^ND APRIL “TEAM COMPETITION” 9-30a.m—4p.m £38.00 LIVERIES £32.00

This competition will be run in teams of three or four and will include various ridden activities plus puzzles, quizzes etc. Riders entering this event must have reached at least D badge standard.

MONDAY 25^TH APRIL “GYMKHANA” 12noon £18.00 LIVERIES & VETERANS £17.00

This is the first of our four annual gymkhanas and is open to any rider from lead rein to veterans. Riders are grouped according to ability (eg Group 1 = lead rein, trotting only. Group 2 = riders off lead rein who need a little help, trotting only. Group 3 = 10.30 riders who can canter. Group 4 = H badges. Group 5 = C badges. Group 6 = B badges. Veterans = over 21’s. if you have already moved up because you have won a group or groups you stay in the one you were in). Each rider will compete in four events for rosettes and points towards the group champion trophy.

TUESDAY 26^TH APRIL “OWN A PONY DAY” 9-30a.m—4p.m £38.00 LIVERIES £32.00

As 19^th April.

WEDNESDAY 27^TH APRIL “JUMPING COMPETITIONS” 4p.m £17.00 LIVERIES £16.00

This will be the first of our four jumping competitions this year. Three or four ability groups (depending on entries) will compete in two events for rosettes to fourth place and trophies for each group champion.

THURSDAY 28^TH APRIL “TEA/BBQ RIDE” 2-30p.m £27.00 LIVERIES £17.00

This is a more advanced out ride for riders of H badge standard and above to Trent Meadows. Please mark your form with a “V” if you are vegetarian.

SATURDAY 30^TH APRIL “MINIMUS JUMPING” 3—5p.m £7.00 per round LIVERIES £6.000

As 9^th April.

SUNDAY ^1ST MAY “TEA/BBQ RIDE” 3-00p.m £22.00 LIVERIES £15.00

As 17th April.

MONDAY 2ND MAY “TEAM JUMPING COMPETITION” TEAM ENTRY £45.00 inc .pony hire

This competition will be run in teams of three which you must organize yourselves and must include two livery ponies and one school pony. (school ponies will be allocated on a first come first served basis). Each rider will jump two rounds, one in each team will jump 2’, 2’3in, and 2’6in. in the first round and 2’3in, 2’6in and 2’9in in the second round. Minimus will run from 12—2p.m for warm up at £5.00 per round.

There will be beginners lessons on Thursdays 21^st & 28^th April at 10.30 to be booked in the usual way

Please make sure your entries are in at least one week before the event you wish to enter with a £5 deposit for all day events and £2 for all others.

Please note as from April 1^st all lessons will go up £1 to £17 for children & £18 for adults.
